If you're interested in getting one (or more), keep an eye on their site or maybe contact customer service. Any overrun, cancellations, or orders they are unable to process were made available after the last order.

This is the second time they've done this, first as a result of their April Fool's joke, and this run was done in answer to a challenge, with an expanded color set that people had asked for after the original. If you pass up the opportunity, I'm not sure it's something that will be available again, and they are definitely worth the price 5.11 asks.

I wore my new 5.11 kilts a few times last month. At the Tucson games, I threw in my Multicam, and I shot the Lake Havasu USPSA match in my OD Green. Great stuff.

My official photographer (wife) has been slacking since Tucson. I do have photos from there, and some video from Havasu which I will try to post later this week.

I've been wearing 5.11 TDKs to work for over a year now when I work a full day on Sundays at my part-time job. During this winter, I've been asked if I was cold wearing it. I replied no, I have a heater under it. A couple of single digit mornings I did don a black thermal bottom.

But last Sunday, after nearly four months of wearing my 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt in Realtree camo at Wally World, I got the official word not wear it. My manager was very clear in saying it’s okay to wear the kilt in khaki but not camo.

I told her I was surprised as the customers really like it. She replied I really like it too, and it’s so appropriate for your department; sporting goods. But we need to be consistent with our ‘dress’ policy which requires a solid khaki bottom. We can't discipline others in not following appropriate dress rules and allow you to wear the camo kilt.

My ‘fellow’ female associates are really bummed out with the news. At least a gal in electronics saw some good and exclaimed, “at least I can still see your sexy legs!”

So today, I was complying with the Wally World dress code and wore my Khaki 5.11 Duty Kilt. But my team spirit showed and got a number of Wahoowas from the customers! Go Hoos! Beat Memphis!

I'm jealous, I'm still waiting for some steady above freezing temperatures around here. Though I think the bigger problem may be the sudden gusts of wind that we get in the hills of Western Massachusetts when the thaw starts. I wish I could wear a kilt to work, but being a machinist, and in a large production facility, kind of limits me to pants.

I wonder what 5.11 is doing for April 1st this year?
