FYI - it's a knife pleated kilt. I'd love to get a box pleated job, but it's a bit out of my price range at the moment. This one is about $250, with free S/H to Canada.

Pretty heavy. Especially with a 56" tweed jacket and waistcoat. Made the mistake of wearing it on one of the hottest days of this summer and spent a little time with a couple of lovely nurses in the first-aid tent.
Less to do with bravery however and more to do with getting all the way round my substantial frame, enormous waist and ...ahem....breach.
