I hate to be greedy but might you be inclined to post up a pic of the back side too? I want to make my daughter something similar and am waffling on what type of connectors to use. Donnie at Wyvern (and Scott/Artificer) are such inspirations I learn something new every time I see even just a picture of their work.

They are worn on the forearms. They were originally a form of armor commonly made from leather or iron. They are a very popular costume piece for Ren Faires and other costumed events.
