    Well Done! I also have several pairs of these type of long wool or wool-blend military/hiking/"outdoor life" hose. They can indeed often be found at very attractive prices (especially if they are military surplus, liquidated retail overstock, etc.). Mine are also ribbed, in basic solid colors (dark blue, black, brown and olive green), heathery earth-tones, or Ragg wool shades, and I mostly wear them with my solid color (black, brown, olive) cargo-pocketed "utility" casual kilts and matching or complimenting pull-overs and/or tweed kilt jackets and fringed knitted-wool breeks hose or complimenting muted or ancient tartan pattern flashes. They're perfect for casual, weekend "town and country" kilt wear, hiking, golf, etc.
