So, in regards to the question about feathers......is a Turkey feather appropriate? I just see a LOT less hassle in obtaining one, and its kind of a nod to Ben Franklin for nominating the Turkey as our National bird.

Turkey feathers look like -- well -- turkey feathers. There are a number of companies that "customize" turkey feathers to look like eagle feathers, and this is probably the best route to follow. Harold Cannon can point you in the right direction for quality feathers.

My preference is for the hand-painted, "Golden Eagle" feathers. The longer, the better.

As a point of interest, Glengarry doesn't have to worry about the legality of eagle feathers as it is the tradition for that Clan Donald chief to wear black raven's feathers instead of eagle feathers.
