I always play this tune with my Scottish/Irish trio. Sounds great on Scottish Smallpipes, fiddle, and guitar.

Somebody gave me a tape years ago, an amazing recording of that piece, which starts out with African percussion, then African singing, then a pennywhistle band, and finally full pipe band. One of the coolest things ever.

Yes that's the very track I have had on tape for many years. Watching that video brought tears to my eyes. What the world has lost!

Does anyone know the artists on that original track, and where and when it was recorded?

"Nelson Mandela's...." is on Douglas's 2007 CD "A Summer in Skye," however I first heard it on the Narada "Brave Hearts" compilation CD from 1998.
