Pink, up until the 1920s was considered a male colour - due to the red base. Blue was often associated with females as it was a "dainty" colour and was connected to the robes of Mary. The gender assignment of blue and pink didn't happen until after WWII. I'd wear pink and if anyone asks, tell them you are rocking a colour that in this day and age should not have a gender bias to it... ;)

(as an aside, did you know that out of all the services in the US, only female Marines are allowed to wear nail polish? It has to be red to match the red piping on their dress uniforms.)

The hoodie looks more like "salmon" to me. An interesting clash with the pink, making even more of a statement.

Yes, like kilts in general, the right pinkitude will carry the day.

Aye, noted that. But sizes are generic adult sizes... So far, have not gotten up the brass to order one....

Ron, when you say "brass" are you referring to coinage or.....?

I play pipes every year for a big cancer event and I've not yet got anything pink to wear as part of my kit. I should fix that! A pink shirt and tie at least.

I've seen a pink version of the Marine's MARPAT camouflage in hats, jackets, and backpacks. Can't recall seeing a kilt in it, but there probably are such.

Looks like more of a peach hue to me and quite obviously for a female Marine, Marine spouse, or a female Marine veteran to wear. As a Marine myself, I'm sorry, but you just don't see male Marines wearing a hoodie in this colour. Pink hose, pink collared shirts, pink ties, etc...now, that's a whole different topic!

    Semper Fi,
