    Custom Sporrans

Just posted this pic to our FB page. In case anyone was wondering, we CAN have custom sporrans made to spec (within certain restraints). We don't have the ability to alter shape and design and come up with a brand new cantle design, but we CAN do more than just our standards! If you want to mix and match elements from sporrans we carry OR you have a specific hide in mind for a sporran (badger, muskrat, jackolope, bear, raccoon, stag, etc) OR you want your own personal FF or Police badge on a sporran, we can help!

Below are 3 different, NON stock designs. 2 were for 1 customer who supplied the pewter knotwork and the pewter stag head. The other was for a customer who wanted a "non traditional dress sporran" and we helped him come up with this design.

    Think outside the box!

I really like the one on the right. That Celtic knot really looks nice.

We actually have access to that knotwork and CAN re-create that one (and the stag head one in the middle), but the cost will be pretty dear. The pewter bits are made in the US (California to be exact) and we'd have to have them shipped directly to Scotland to be put on the sporrans during production, then have them shipped back across to the shop (PLUS the cost of the pewter bits themselves). End result is that the sporran on the right would retail for about $299.99, where our normal Fur Hunting sporrans (same basic thing but without the pewter knot) retail for $199.99.

We could also put in on a dress sporran, but with the same price increase.

California? Was the knot work done by Nagle Forge and Foundry by any chance? I have witnessed firsthand the quality of his pewter work. BTW Rocky, my son's American Heritage arrived on Friday and he LOVES it.

While we don't normally discuss suppliers, I can say "yes", it is Nagle and agree with your about their quality of craftsmanship. They have set retail pricing on their items (i.e. retailers can't raise or lower prices... we have to sell their items for the price they set), but their pieces are beautiful and the quality speaks for itself.
