Nice picture. Do you have more photos of the kilt, esp the pleats? I have the opportunity to pick up 4 yards of material, but was wondering if it would be enough. Sounds like it might be, and I'd love to see what the pleats look like.

Very cool.
My Grandmother, Kelty by way of Berry Country, complained that Upstate NY was so flat compared to areas of Perth.
Seeing this excellent image of you, from that vantage, seems exactly what she meant.
Well done.

Beautiful shot Mr. MacDonald! I'm jealous of your weather! It's -18 C here today, but it feels like -30 to 40 with the wind chill warning! brrrr!

Positively balmy . It was -26 with a windchill of -37C today. It took half an hour to get dressed to collect the mail. I would have loved to be in the original Perth today with figheadair.

Not a problem. I get some posted up in the next day or so.

Thanks Nathan. I'd rather like some colder weather. We've had weeks of Atlantic storms bringing rain, rain and more rain. That said, I was waste deep in wet snow yesterday when climbing hills around Laggan. Hard work but beautiful when the sun came out.

Very smart, Peter! Depending on the weather, I too will wear my Hunter wellies and Barbour jacket with the kilt. Oh, and what's a Macdonald doing in Laggan? That's Macpherson territory! Hahaha, just kidding, mate. Tis a fine place indeed for a bit of hill walking (Old Cluny Monument, Cluny's "Whiskers," Lady Cluny Monument, etc).
Happy Hogmanay!
