Congratulations Worshipful Sir. Enjoy your time in the Oriental Chair, it will fly by! Now you need to get a Freemason Tartan kilt! (Full disclosure: I was Worshipful Master of Odenton Lodge #209, Odenton, MD in 1991. I wasn't a kilt wearer then, but I have worn them to lodge and Grand Lodge events since.)

If you do that, our own Grand Lodge - Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario has its own tartan.

I just went back and looked at the pictures; you rule a very old lodge with that fringe!

You are correct! We were constituted in 1792... Which by most accounts would be considered properly old it's a huge honour to be part of such an historic lodge.

Thanks to to all for the comments. Looking forward to giving the kilt a good workout this year at many events in my official capacity. Ladies nights, Official Visits and the odd Burns night too!

cheers to all! And don't be afraid to come for a visit!

Ha! Niagara No 2 - oldest lodge in our jurisdiction. I visited once but was on a conference so could not sit at lodge. I was given a tour as I wandered in during a call-off. I felt much honoured. Will visit properly at some time - soon I hope.

Congratulations W. Bro. If your jurisdiction offers a Past Master's degree you should be eligible now. Don't miss it.
