Lochcarron has quite an interesting video clip on its website. It is worth a look anyway, and can be found at

I found a dead otter once and thought about keeping it to have a sporran made (it had been hit by a car that day). I also really liked that alligator foot sporran we saw recently. To each his own I guess.

PS- My hand sewn was made by Locharron as well and it is awsome.

That's it Hank! Road Kill.. My kind of man.. Supper anyone???

Actually I don't think I would want one on a sporran but I have no problems hunting fur bearing animals. After all they don't have rights, they are a resource.

    "resource"...

Aye, but we are their stewards, as Scotsman John Muir would say...

My wife hates animal-heid sporrans. We were next to a fellow from the Clan Chattan (Touch not the cat wi' a glove!) last year at the St. Louis games who had a bobcat sporran, and it was all she could do not to look at it.

I don't mind the animal sporrans for some of the regiments -- the Argylls wear a badger, for instance. But, I have to keep my mouth shut, and I will never get one!

    Cheers,

    T.
