    I just did it.

I just went and ordered my first contemporary kilt. I ordered the Deluxe Utility from UTkilts. I figure since I like to wear flannel plaid shirts in the winter a solid utility type kilt might just be the thing to wear with them. So now for a short jones I imagine.

That's precisely what I do too. I'm not ashamed to admit that my plaid flannel shirts take up almost 1/4 of my closet space, and that wearing them is one of my biggest reasons to look forward to winter. They look rather odd with a tartan kilt, but perfect with a utility style kilt.

My son received a black canvas UTkilt a month or two back...it was well made and the customer service superb. I think you'll be happy with it.

So I got home yesterday from work (On the Railroad all the live long day) and my new UTkilt had arrived This is my first modern/utility type kilt so I pressed out the shipping wrinkles this morning and put it on. First impression, kinda of stiff but will probably soften up with washing. A quick fit, my fault with all the holiday fare but that will come off soon enough. The kilt seems to be well put together and I like that I have something that I can wear my favorite flannel shirts with.

After sitting for a while it does seem to wrinkle a lot, I'm hoping with washing it will loosen up a bit.

I have a brown Deluxe UT kilt. I found that indeed they do wrinkle easily. I tend to wear it to various functions where I'm up and about so I try to change into the kilt just before I leave. I've washed it at least 10 times and still wrinkles easily and needs pressing after washing, but it's not an issue for me.
