Had a lot of rain prior to the cold front rolling in with its freezing rain, snow and horribly nasty low temps. Had 4 power outages ranging from a few hours to 12 and 24 hrs. (some folks were down for 5 & 6 days). Lots of tree damage. Wind chills as low as -35C. High winds, blowing snow, large drifts across roads. It is safer to not clear your walkway of snow as the 3in. ice sheet under foot is more treacherous than the covering snow. Ah, but this is Presqu'ile on Lake Ontario. It is now beautifully sunny, colder than a witches ***, and for now just thinking of the stunning beauty of where I live makes it easier to tolerate the nasty stuff.
As to Global Warming I say, "Ha!" If you can hear me over the Frost Quakes. (like sonic booms)
