Wonderful hose but IMHO only appropriate in the 21st Century for formal wear: black tie, white tie and perhaps a very posh morning-dress do. You just need to be attending more formal events.

Lovely hose! Compliment your wife on her thoughtfulness and talent.

Being hand knit, there is a certain rustic quality to the hose that would make them well-suited for day wear (not excluding more formal occasions). Wear them whenever you can.

Isaac, I would give my right arm to have someone that would knit a pair of hose like that for me. You are a very lucky man and I hope you wear them as often as you can., formal or informal.

What a beautiful pair of hose! Your wife made you a wonderful accoutrement. I'm in the school of "wear them anytime you like". By wearing them to school you might even educate the chilluns a bit.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Great looking hose! Talented wife! Looks great with the Cameron of Erracht kilt. Is the kilt from WPG?

    Cheers...Bill

WPG? I am sorry I am not sure all the acronyms, makers, etc. out there. This was a ex military kilt I got for cheap when living in Scotland back in '98. I cut and altered/re tailored them top to a more acceptable height for a civilian style kilt.
