    Scouters: Free jewelery

    Hi
Just spent a snowy morning cleaning out some drawers and came across several Scouting related pieces from the 1960's. Since my Scouting days (and my son's) are well behind me now, I thought I'd offer them free to a good home with any of the many kilted Scouters here.

Collection includes 1-chain tie bar w/ emblem; 1-springback tie clasp w/ emblem; 1-pair cufflinks, gold on black, and at least 4 lapel-style emblem pins. Everything is in good usable condition, but all will require some cleaning and polish. (They've been sitting in a box for decades.) Only rules: You're an active scouter that can use them, and ya' gotta' take 'em all at once...no split deals.

No $$ involved; free, and I'll mail 'em.

Reply via PM; first one in takes the biscuit.

    Thanks
    JT

ANNnnnd...we have a winner. Or at least a willing recipient in member "Vinhen2".

PM's exchanged, and items to be sent as soon as our incoming 10+ inches of snow subsides.

Thanks to all for the interest.

Nice .....it was a good and influential part of our young lives. I just gave away my collection a few years ago for fundraising including my father's 10k gold thank you badge ....that the local commissioner had never seen. I have kept my silver Laurel award from the 1963 World Jamboree in Greece and I attended which I am tempted to use as a klt pin. It must be a throwback as I have a tartan throw that I have pinned various Scottish pins somewhat reminiscent of our blankets that we would put around our shoulders at a fire....I was a Canadian Queen's Scout who was privileged to the World Jamboree in Marathon Greece in 1963...50 years ago..whew and I acquired my first kilt on a trade including a lovely day sporran which I wish I still had....this makes me all a bit chokey
