I will happily sign up for the contemporary class.

Hmm... pockets, you say... and a coffee machine. I just may switch my allegiance to the contemporary side, although I am primarily interested in making a tartan kilt. I must confess, the word "contemporary" did conjure up for me visions of utility kilts. Either way, my intention to participate in the Kilt Kamp is firm.

Steve can help you make a tartan contemporary kilt, so you can have both tartan and pockets.

OK, I just got off a Skype call with Barb.

She has her official calendar at the college but we have penciled in dates for Kilt Kamp.

Monday the 11th of Aug - Through - Friday the 15th of Aug.

Anyone needing lists of Hotels/B&B's, ferry or flight schedules, or restaurant locations please send me an email

    steve@freedomkilts.com

I will start putting packets together.

Anyone wishing to order fabric through Freedom Kilts, I will need 6-8 weeks prior notice to get it on order and have it arrive in time for Kamp.

Please plan your travel so that you are here, ready to sew on Monday morning.

Harlan and Kevin, you guys have personal knowledge so you two are in charge of anyone with special needs.

Oh yes please! Pick me! I'm a would-be traditional kiltmaker (younger sister to "Akilter", whom you may know) and so excited for the chance to participate.

Sounds great! Put me down for the contemporary side. I really wanna see that steam machine shoot steam across the room. The dates in August are perfect for me. I'll be back from Scotland and recovered from a rather hectic schedule and my pipe band will be taking its annual break that month, so I'll have no conflicts with performances and no students to worry about rescheduling.

Table space is sort of limited in the Freedom Kilts shop. We will not have access to the large apartment upstairs this year.
We will be in the middle of the shop itself for those hand-sewing
And in my production room for the machine sewing.

We had said that we would have space for 8 hand-sewers and 4 machine sewers.

There has been a lot of expressed interest so I have edited the first post of this thread with the usernames of those who have expressed interest.

Please see post #1 for the current list.

Silliness? I don't know what you're referring to. The traditional kilt group is always the model of restrained decorum.....

Perhaps Michelle (Mrs. Kiltedwolfman) could make her sinfully delicious cinnamon buns....I seem to recall that Harlan liked them.....
