Absolutely VITAL assistance and advice for kiltmakers, everywhere...
This was included in a 1949 packet that went out with Singer sewing machines.

Wow! So that's what I'm doing wrong.
I'm afraid I don't own any dresses right now, let alone clean ones. I wonder if it's acceptable that I borrow one from my wife.
Powder I can probably handle, but I've not been able to determine what shade of lipstick would look right with my skin tone, so that could be a problem.
Oh dear! I may have to forgo kilt kamp unless I get these matters resolved.

Who would have time to sew after doing all that?!?
I'm reminded of a signature line over at Ravelry, something along the lines of "my end table is full of knitting so that I don't have to dust it!" Much more my approach!

Oh dear, perhaps that's my problem when I sit down at the sewing machine - I don't have my hair in order or my powder and lipstick on. *sigh*

CDNsushi, if you show up with a dirty dish in one hand while wearing a long flowing red dress, in a bufont hairdo, at kiltcamp....it might be a bit distracting....... LOL

I have seen the error of my ways and will endeavor to wear proper sewing attire in the future. I'll also be sure to wear a three-piece suit, or at least a decent kilt and jacket, the next time I fire up the drill press.

Just schedule a color analysis at your local Clinique counter.
