Kilt Jacket and Vest on Ebay
Greetings rabble ,
Over the past month , I have noticed a tweed jacket / vest combination offered on Ebay in four different options .
The jacket / vest option is offered in two different solid colors and two different " windowpane pattern " colors . See below .
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scottish-Kil...item233522ed29
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scottish-Kil...item233522ed2b
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scottish-Kil...item233522ed2a
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scottish-Kil...item233522ed26
All four options are offered at $ 369 . They are in the Crail style ( of course that is always loosely defined with Ebay sellers ) .
Has anyone had any experience with this vendor ? Looks like a reasonable deal .... but .... maybe not .
Just thought I would ask the rabble .
Cheers , Mike
P.S. If this has already been addressed , my apologies . I did a search and could not find any reference .

I've had the solid grey saved on My Ebay for a while now but in truth... I like them all. The vendor seems credible judging by his feedback. I may have to order one next week.
Thanks for those links by the way.

The vendor of these jackets, Celtic Trading Post, is a ebay store of Skye Highland Outfitters owned by Josh Brown. The jackets looked remarkedly like Freedom kilts, kilt cut suit jackets (I hope I got that right Steve). I don't know how the price compares to Steves at Freedom kilts. Just for information folks

I'd not seen these jackets before, but one thing of note from their description-
"We have found a material that is not as costly as tweed, "
It's described as brushed wool, but it isn't tweed.
FWIW, I think for right around that price you can get real tweed from vendors on Xmarks- Rocky at USA Kilts offers a
TWEED jacket and waistcoat for $30 more,
and if you're looking for suit weight wool (but not tweed) as Downunder Kilt mentioned you might want to contact Steve at Freedom Kilts, as they
do a very nice contemporary style kilt jacket and waistcoat for right around this eBay price as well.

Excellent advice, Scott. Also, I've never been a fan of a three button front for this style of tweed jacket.

Whoa... I completely missed that. Given the choice I would much rather a real tweed. Thank you for pointing that out!

Thanks everyone for the input and thanks Artificer for pointing out that it's brushed wool not tweed . I obviously overlooked that important detail , I agree , I would rather have tweed for just a few bucks more .
Cheers , Mike
