"Churning" Kilts

Some of you may have noticed I've just offered five wool kilts for sale. I've been inventorying what I have and what I want and decided its time to sell off a few kilts and buy some more.

I've purchased 79 kilts in my short kilt addiction career. But I've sold off half of them to buy different kilts. I like the variety and the change. And I think its near criminal to leave kilt hanging in the closet unworn when someone else could be wearing them about town. Of course I have the highest respect for Ham and his Kilt Kollection - that's a different deal all together.

The only downside is the resale kilts bring in less than I paid for them, which limits my shopping with the proceeds, but does reduce the size of my on hand kilt collection. The upside is the kilts I have are the kilts I really want.

While the for sale forum here works well, I keep thinking that someday someone will risk being an online used kilt vendor who would buy up used kilts and resell them on line. I think there are some kilt retailers doing this in their local market already.

I really enjoy churning my kilts. It lets me buy what I want without having too many kilts (is there such a thing??) and I don't have a wife to question my kilt buying and selling decisions.

I know many of the rabble already do this...and I'm guessing there may be some who haven't thought of it yet and are now pondering it.

Me too! That was a tough call. I don't get to wear it much and I think its because the colors don't fit with the local landscape well....its a beautiful tartan for sure, but perhaps even more beautiful in a forested area...

I understand why you are doing this Ron. My question to you and those that purchase them, would the background be of the same style as yours? I mean we can set up a challenge for any of the purchasers to also have some fantastic pictures with the same Kilt.

As far as me purchasing any of them it is not going to happen, as they are all too short for me.

I fully understand it was the turn of the phrase and nothing intended, but it would be good to find a better word than churn. I work for an SaaS software company and churn is definitely a pejorative term

Perhaps reharvesting or a more benign term would be a better fit.

And a bit more pudgy.

Most are off by 2-3 inches on the widest measurement.

0kay fine. I have no clue what an SaaS company is or how churn became a bad word. It still means what it means to me - to mix up, to stir up.... And, I doubt too many others of this rabble know what an SaaS company is either. So gonna leave it and not bother a mod to change it. Thanks for the education though... Anyone who is offended by it isn't offended by my choice of words, but rather their expectation that I would somehow know of this high tech usage and new meaning.
