Exactly, I couldn't agree more! Though, I will mention that I do have my Kinloch Anderson Regulation Doublet and matching waistcoat (obviously not an ex-hire) up on eBay at the moment, but I'm asking considerably more.

I think you have got a great deal. The cheapest new PC that I can find on the net is GBP99.00 (Imported), so for US$180.00 for a Lochcarron made ex rental, in your size, I think you have done very well. Cheers

I don't disagree with that mindset, however for something I wear 2-3 times a year....I'm leaning towards the Ex-Hire...I'm a 52L so those don't come up often on eBay. I was able to negotiate $180 so....if I wear it 3 more times... its paid for its self.. If you can find me a better deal other than a Pakistani one...I am all ears.

    thanks

I am a 58r...jackets in this size never come up...if I were going to 3 black tie affairs every year and a PC in my size came up [from a quality maker]at that $180 price point I would jump on it.

I have to agree with your reasoning. Bargains on larger sizes are rare and given both price and frquency of wear, you got a deal.
