    Wear the braces exposed & act like they aren't there . They are nothing to be ashamed of so why hide them ? If people do notice & ask about them you have a great story to go along with them with skiing so they may even work as an ice breaker .
    Also if you have the knee braces with the metal hardware on the sides then you'll need some pretty big weird boots to cover them ...

    First, welcome to the forum.

    Knee braces are a fact of life for many people. I doubt most people would even give them a second thought. If it were me, and someone asked how I came to wear the braces, I would tell them I spent my time skiing,...rather than in the lodge's bar trying to impress others with phony ski stories. Every ski lodge I've been in, there was always some guy in the bar, who was there for show and not to go.

    When you wear your kilt, be comfortable in yourself, and don't let anybody convince you otherwise.
