There is so much information available to everyone on this site it is quite amazing. It is nice to have reviews of products and people telling of their dealings with various vendors. At the same time it can be very overwhelming, especially for a first timer.
My victory kilt purchase was influenced by peoples response to USAkilts.

This forum has encouraged me to make and [more importantly] wear two kilts.
It has taught me the beauty of tartans, and the tastiness of pumpkin fudge.

Encourage is a good word, now that I think about it. A really strong one.

I think most everything kilt-related that I'll get stems from this forum, because I found that this was a garment that normal people wear. A garment that didn't have strict rules, either. Before I found this place, I was interested in Utilikilts, but couldn't picture myself in one everyday. Now, I'm in love with my maple leaf kilt and I wear it absolutely everywhere.

I'll always check the winds here before I buy anything kilt related because I have a good feeling about everyone's taste and objectivity.

I feel like I'm in a cult. A cult that wants me to spend all of my money on new kilts. Why?

It's good to see these responses.

I tend to be a collector. This forum has allowed me to make the educated descisions I need to indugle in this pastime.

In my collecting I tend to be a stickler for quality and innovation. I sure have found that here.

I did not want to leave anyone with the impression that I felt pressured to make purchases.

    Thanks guys.

    Inflence

This form has not influenced me to purchace another kilt yet!! Although my wearing a kilt did influence me to join this form.
I am looking to purchase a tatran kilt, when my rich uncle gets out of the poor house.
You fine folks are my type of people (what ever that means). So lets all keep on kilting.

i 've been "inclined" to purchase a kilt for a couple of years and never did.

the folks here through their own experiences and through their encouragement finally kicked me in the ****. so it was either ____ [fill in the blank] or get off the pot.

i just recently purchased my first and after a mere weekend of usage, promptly ordered a second which arrived today. a Royal Stewart from Stillwater.

so, yes, you guys and this forum influenced the hell out me. dammit.

by the by, the RS came in at work and my boss said damn, you need one for everyday of the week so you can quit wearing pants altogether .... yep, that's the plan!
