That's beautiful, though possibly too white, I'm not sure if it would ever get any use!

Too white indeed, I am but a lowly auto mechanic, I live in a nearly constant state of greasy, after a week on holiday I clean up pretty good, but on a daily basis it is nearly impossible to get me completely clean, I could have that sweet Snow White sporran a nice shade of soot grey inside of a week.

Plus the dangers of whisky and wine... best left in a glass case I believe!

Don't miss the bear sporran. It's like she didn't even try to line up the fur to the sporran front.

Too white? I respectfully disagree. It's obviously a sporran molach meant to be worn with Highland evening dress, though one doesn't necessarily have to resrict it to such use, but with a gorgeous, silver cantle like that I'd only want to wear it for black tie occasions.

Yep these sporrans don't appear to have all that much in the way of 'making'

But this? Is somebody really going to walk around in a kilt wearing an entire beast hanging in front?

Ugh! The complete antithesis of a traditional, full mask sporran. See the "real McCoy" below, courtesy of my full mask sporran maker and friend, Kate Macpherson.

I certainly can see the difference in quality. But even the "real McCoys" are a bit disconcerting when viewed from this angle. I guess I am just not a full mask kind of guy. Give me a sporran molach anytime (with or without a P.C. style cantle, right Nathan?)

As Jock Scot has said before the "pint of bleach spilled in the lap" effect... My tartan is quite bright already, so I'm not sure the contast would be there. Besides, it's beautiful, but I'd be terrified of damaging it with one blunder.
I am really interested in a sporran molach, but I'm thinking more along the lines of this. That would be my ultimate purchase, if only my piggy bank would grow fatter!

    Cheers,

    Cameron
