			Good price?

So there's a kilt shop up in stratford, ontario, canada (where the stratford shakespeare festival is held), and i would really like to go to look at getting a kilt (since im going to be there for said festival in october). i really apologize for that hideous sentence. anyway, i want to go there because i can actually be fitted by the maker which would make me feel better. i have a USA Kilts casual, stewart black, but its cotton poly, and lord knows i love Rocky (and im sure the kilts/materials have gotten muuuuch better since i bought), but the pleats are looking like ***** and i want a real wool one (esp. in gordon, which is a closer clan connection than stewart. cock of the north!). anyway, the question is: he said that a four yard wool kilt (weight differs) will be between 300 and 345 dollars american. is this a good price? and are there any big differences between a four and an eight yard kilt beside pleat depth and number? thanks.
again, i apologize for my rushed incoherence.

Stratford is the home of "R"Kilts...give me a call we could go out for a beer. It depends when in October as I'm off to Winnipeg Oct. 12th.
 Enjoy

Sorry for the sporadic posts... been having computer problems I'm trying to sort out. Anyway, The kilts made for MacLeods cutomers are indeed hand made in Scotland. The tags sewn into the waistband on the inside reads Lochcarron , and "hand made for" ....etc. The workmanship is meticulous and the fit perfect. MacLeods is a family type operation and they take good care of their customers. Given that you are going for a hand made kilt, expect a wait of up to a couple of months before you get to strap the kilt around your backside. But trust me... it's worth the wait. BTW, Stratford is a great place to strut your kilt. Hope you enjoy your stay there.

The 4yd walking kilt sells for $395 Canadian-$425. The 8 yhd hand sewn starts at $599 Canadian. The folks at Macleods know their stuff and it's like going to the kiltmaker. The exchange rate is around $1.27 for every American dollar.

So you're 14 yrs old? 19 is the drinking age here... but going out for a hot chocolate or softdrink suits me fine. It will take 6-8 weeks for a kilt from MacLeods and if it's shipped out of province you save on the provincial sales tax. Are you coming to see some shows at Stratford? The history plays are very good this year.
 Cheers
