I know its common on trips to find that I'm packing two pair of the same color kilt hose to go with separate kilt tartans. They don't wear as fast when I alternate pairs. It feels better to know they're there. All of the above....
Gotcha, mate!

Blimey those are sharp! I wouldn't mind some bison hose.
Thanks, Matt.

For the record, I do love my House of Cheviot Dusky Pink hose... Only problem is, they're friggin' huge! (Got the medium size)... I'm actually having a hard time getting re-adjusted to life in Canada when it comes to shopping for clothes. I'm no longer the biggest guy in town (like I was in Japan), and I've gone from reliably being able to take the "XL" from any rack without even trying it on, to looking for the size "M" and hoping it fits.
But the quality of these hose, and the colours are truly wonderful.

It would be cool if there was some kind of app where we could see what each of those hose look like with our kilt.

Good idea, and that would be great. I hope to see such an app one day.
Unfortunately, what I find myself doing more often than not, and than I like, is juxtaposing two independently-sourced computer images of hose and tartans/kilts with all their visual disparities, and then trying to decide how they will look together. It's not often the same, when I finally get them side-by-side to actually see how they look together.
Oh what problems we kilt wearers have. Woe is us!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Yes, such an APP would be a great idea, I find myself only able to buy One pair, but can not make up my mind. So an APP would help. I have cut and pasted pictures on the computer to see which pair I want ,but an App that would allow you to see a 360 with your kilt could be the next new thing.

This is why I always go for a size small with House of Cheviot hose, despite my fett being a size 10.5 US. I purposely go down a size in order for the overall height of the hose to come precisely where I want it, 3 finger widths below my knee-cap.

I received my Claret Chessboard top hose late last week. The blue is a bit darker than the Ancient Blue hose I have and pairs great with the dark claret red. Ill try to get some photos of them paired with my MacMillan Hunting Weathered kilt posted soon. Thanks Matt!

My Cinnamon Chessboard are very nice, but darker than I expected from the picture. The "green" in the picture is actually bracken. In fact the hose are labeled "Cinnamon/Bracken", and have brown thread woven in with the dark green. The Cinnamon is also a bit darker than it looks (to me) in the picture - a bit in the direction of burnt orange.
I was hoping they would "match" my ancient kilts, but both colors are darker than the orange (ancient red) and the ancient green in those, eg MacFarlane Hunting Ancient. I'll wear them anyway - with other kilts and with my ancient kilts. At least nobody can accuse me of being "matchy-matchy".

Question ? Where can I buy the chess board top hose in Charlet red with lite blue tops along with matching garters ?
I have found the hose at STM but not able to find any red and lite blue garters to match.
I have went through each of the listed vendors on the new house highland web page.
Does HOC make a matching garter ?
Thank you for your time.
