    Hello, Chaps!

I'm with those that suggest you buy the best day sporran you can afford, and start saving to add a good dress sporran later. Good luck!

Welcome aboard from the highlands of Central Massachusetts. I think you can't do better than McRostie. A little over $100 and you won't need to think about another one ever or until you have extra cash. Looks good with anything. With or without tassels.

There are a variety of nice colors. I got Dark Havana and it goes with everything. Great on the mountain, out for the evening.

I own both of these and they are suitable for casual and daywear.

I have one of these too, and love it, but it is in a higher price-point. The quality is top-notch!

For some reason, many sporran makers still refuse to disclose the size of their products. Its been getting much better, but be certain you know the true size of the sporran before you purchase it and be sure that size is large enough to carry all the "stuff" you'll need to carry in it.

And you've invested in a nice jacket and a nice kilt, don't cheapen the look with an inexpensive sporran.

Know Coronado well. Father went there in 1937 with the Navy and died there 41 years later. Lots of family has lived there. Pretty sure I know the shop you ordered up at. Welcome.

While not the cheapest sporrans out there, Buzz Kidder sporrans (which I believe are made in the US), are large and well made out of thick but supple leather. Many XMTS vendors sell them and quite a few of us (at least we "old timers" ) have them. They are built to last and the nice thing is that 2 or 3 years down the road you will still use them and still like them.
