OK guys coming from an region and a culture (rural Canada) where curling very nearly reaches the status of a religion (certianly attendance at the curling club on Saturday morning exceeds most Churches on Sunday) I could easily take offence at the tone of some of the comments. However, I choose not to and will point out that the "roaring game" combines the personal skill level of golf with the strategy and intelligence of chess. We take the game very seriously here. I guess I could offer as evidence Canada's two Sochi olympic games gold medals from last week.
However if you intend to keep looking for ways to make fun of the game I might suggest you google the Canadian film "Men with Brooms". It is a hotly contested category but I consider this one of the finest curling movies ever made.
