Congrats! I've got a package arriving from USAKilts on Monday. Rocky has been awesome with customer service and answering my questions while I've been waiting. His shop's reputation is very high and I am confident I won't be in the least disappointed. I think we've made a good choice.

You're going to laugh, but I have already thought about where I might go to take pictures. I'm planning outfits already. It'll feel like a loooong wait.
Matty, I ended up going with Ross Hunting Modern from Lochcarron. It was a tough decision for me, but I think it will have the most versatility for my needs. I would've like more red, but my wife help me pair the tartan with some light brown accessories and I was sold. Before my kilt even arrives I've toyed with the idea of getting an ancient or muted in a casual kilt.
Hawk, a good friend and old roommate is waiting to hear from med school today in Portland. I'll always have a place to crash after the get togethers.
I love that these boards are a support group for jonesing, waiting kilt folks.

I can't wait to see pictures!
USAKilts reputation was such a big deal in my choosing process. They weren't on my radar until I came to this site. People continually praise and recommend them. I'm sure we'll both become walking billboards when we get our kilts.
I never owned a kilt while growing up in GA. My wife, daughter and I will eventually move back and we'll have to plan some huge, kilt-worthy events!

You won't regret it - Rocky rocks! The Jonesing is terrible - but worth it. Did the same today on a semi traditional in Scot Weathered. Needed something lighter for when it warms up here in Texas - now at 20 degrees!

I really should have asked around more about the weight. I went with 16oz because our the long winters here in the NW. But several of the peak summer Highland games out here were waaaarrrmmm (and I'm from the humid heat of GA). If I don't get a lighter kilt ordered I'm just going to have to grease up with body glide and hang on for dear life.
