Contrast this with the information on Steve's Freedom Kilts site.
Wyvern is a well known and well liked sporran maker and advertiser here on XMarks, tpa. I don't think that Donnie is going anywhere soon.

I have no wish to cast any aspersions at Donnie and don’t doubt that, as an Xmarks advertiser, he is a very genuine seller, otherwise he would not be here; I was merely pointing out that there is a similarity between the 2 sites in terms of lack of contact information and coming to either cold, i.e. with no prior knowledge of either, I would be very suspicious of both sites.

As it turns out, both are long standing websites, Viking more so than Wyvern, and in contrast to Wyvern, which is privately registered, so the contact details are again withheld, it is possible to get contact details for Viking from their site registration. However I would not normally bother to delve deeper unless there was something particularly unique and attractive about their product, however good the offer.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

That's a good point, tpa, and I've often had similar complaints about many of the websites around here. I remember someone saying, "Well, you could just call me to see if we make kilts in larger sizes," when I complained that very few websites listed larger sizes. There's just some things that you should put ON THE SITE.

I think it's a great topic for a new thread - maybe we could let makers and vendors know what we're looking for in a website.
