Long road to a refund.
I'm pleased to announce that 547 days after my initial order, and 477 days after we started the refund process, the kilt-maker that I complained about in this thread has finally given me a refund for the item he didn't deliver.
I really didn't expect anything, but I emailed the guy once a month or so to remind him and it finally paid off!

1.5 years from start to close- That's brutal, but CONGRATULATIONS on FINALLY getting your cash back!!!
So the next question is what are you going to buy with it- you can't just close out a jonesing by putting the $ back in the bank, right?

Believe me, I thought of that - but I decided to give the money to my mom, who helped me pay for my wedding kilt in the first place. She's driving down from Chicago to Alabama today to help take care of her sister, who's in the hospital. It only seemed right.
I'm still working on sewing my R'lyeh tartan kilt, (and the practice kilt before that) so I have plenty to look forward to for now.
But I'll get that sporran and nicer kilt hose someday!

God bless your mom, and your aunt, ... and you too.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Now that is persistence. And a wonderful gesture with the refund.
