Kilt fringe question.

I donned my new kilt that arrived last week out today. But I noticed something. One of the threads from my fringe is loose. Here's a picture. Sorry for the darkness. That's what I get for accidentally using the flash in relative daylight.

As you can see, the thread is coming from the middle of the three fringes. When I first got it there was one of loose most of the way down on the left most fringe, but I just cut it off with some scissors? Is this anything to be worried about, or is it just an initial fringe thing? This comes from a good kiltmaker, so I trust it's not anything too serious. What do you say, just cut it off?

Normal...that's how fringe is made....I'd pull it all the way out and be done with it...just my take. Have "made" fringes on some scarfs from extra kilt material...going by that experience. Nothing to fear.

No worries, it's likely just the next vertical thread from one of the fringed pieces. Simply pull it out; it should come out with little resistance. If you should meet resistance (it's possible that the thread attaching the fringed pieces crosses that thread from the tartan) simply snip it close to the edge.

Either way, no harm done and nothing to fear.
