    Pocket Square Bonanza

Several threads over the years have talked about adding a little extra punch with a pocket square. Today I had a brainwave and went to several charity shops and bought 15 women's scarves for a dollar apiece. Then I cut them into pocket square size. As several scarves had different coloured sections, I actually got 23 different pocket squares. It gives me tons of variety for little cost.

Excellent thrifty move; I've been doing it since my university days--men's pocket squares can be ridiculously overpriced--and one is often more likely to actually find men's pocket squares in amongst the women's accessories in thrift stores, rummage/jumble sales, etc. The rectangular shaped women's scarves can also be worn as ascot cravats. The trick of course is to spot them in materials, colours and patterns that are gender neutral--paisleys, medallions, jacquards, foulards, etc. "More Dash Than Cash"!
