Bummer, Steve! I guess I'll have to make Shaun's tent my unofficial home for the day! (Sorry, Shaun, you're stuck with me now.)

You will! But, it will have to be in your tent. That weekend I'm in between business trips, as well. So, we will show on Saturday.

Here's a shot that cck provided of the small gathering of Xmarkers at the San Antonio Highland Games this past weekend. The weather was unseasonably cool for Texas, affording us a rare Springtime opportunity to wear our tweeds:
L to R: Gary McAdam of Edinburgh (prospective member), Tobus, fw kilt, cck and ShaunMaxwell
Nice to see you all again, and a pleasure to meet you, John!

Thanks for posting the photo! It was great to visit with the "usual suspects" (sans Steve) and meet some new friends. Yes, it was actually pretty chilly this year ...a pleasant change from most years. But between the dusty pathways and the intermittent light rain, I had to spend quite some time cleaning my shoon the next day! Damp Q-tips go a long way in cleaning dirt out of brogue holes.
John, I hope I see you in Salado this fall as well as back here in San Antonio next spring. Sorry I didn't get to tell you goodbye; I got waylaid by an overly friendly German fellow who was busy telling me his life story.
Craig, thank you for bringing your friends from Scotland. I'd like to chat with him some more if they accompany you to Salado. Please do extend an invitation for him and his wife to that gathering.

Enjoyed the meet up. Great to meet fellow kilt enthusiasts. It may have been cool and damp - but nothing like the thunderstorms there today (hail & high winds)!
I'll be at Arlington next month and Salado in November (7-9).
Sherwood Forest Fair (McDade, TX) is having a two weekend Celtic Music Festival 20-21 & 27-28 - I'll be there also.
Great photo - handsome group and well dressed to boot!
