I'm also not a fan of the large number of recent all-grey tartans, but this one is nicer for me because of the pretty blue. Still, the grey ground dominates and I wonder how the tartan would looked 'tweaked' a bit to reduce the ground a bit.

Sounds like I need to get a photo of my latest kilt and post it on here then. Beautiful tartan and as I'm originally from Northern Ireland, highly appropriate I thought...

I have finished my Giant's Causeway kilt. I am posting the photos, below, as requested. I wore it today while going out for a meal. My wife took the photos while she was on a step (It was raining outside so she stayed just inside the door which put her on the step) which makes the kilt look too long.

At the moment, I've made a choice. I ordered the Lochaber tartan from marton mills. It was listed as weathered, but its actually ancient. I'll post pics on this thread once it arrives. I also ordered a "chore" kilt from Stillwater kilts in the Cameron Clan tartan with a "pipers" plaid that I'll use as a "day" plaid for when the wife and I go for hikes/pick-a-nicks. But I do plan on saving up for the giants causeway tartan thanks to Arnot's pictures. Amazing Kilt btw! I'm glad that the green only accents the kilt and not stands out. I tend to actually like the more "somber" tartans if you will. Bright tartans wash me out otherwise. Thank you all for your input.

I like it also and wouldn't mind having a kilt made from it at all--it would look nice with my grey Arrochar tweed Argyle coat and vest. Definitely more visually interesting and versatile than Hamilton Grey.....
