Scottish Leader

I really should not walk down Main Street to the liquor store for lottery tickets, but the lasses in there are so darn pleasant. Today, whilst waiting my turn I was of course perusing the Scotches. One I had not seen before, Scottish Leader, was only 15.99 USD for a 750l bottle, so grab it I did. When I got home I tasted it. Not bad really for a blended scotch with no age on it. I googled it and was surprised to find it pretty much confined to Scotland, and rare even in Britain. I took the last bottle too.

Busy day tomorrow in my home shop. Need to weld some patch panels on my old Ford truck and my son's 2003 Focus. Once that's done I can have a wee dram or two!

My first thought on reading this post was "why would you drink that" Seeing the tv adverts and the whole marketing campaign here, makes me think, cheap paint stripper, possibly I'm not it the marketing men's target audience. So after reading your post i decided to do a bit of surfing. Perhaps I'll give it a shot in the future, it looks better than it does on the TV.

It's not bad stuff for the price. Heck, I have much more expensive stuff here that is close or not as tasty (to me). Never thought of using it for paint stripper, have some of that to do tomorrow too.
