Bren, Hoggs of Fife is quite freely available over here, most Country stores sell them and at a very reasonable price. They are similar in quality to the Warwickshire clothing shirts that I posted about above. Good shirts for a good price. But I agree with you insofar that they are not the best quality but then you are not paying top dollar for them, besides most of the farmers in the UK wear them so they all can't be wrong. A canny lot our farmers they know a good deal when they see one.
When I was a student at Exeter University, I remember buying Tattersall shirts (among other things) at Marks and Sparks--they were the epitome of Good AND Cheap.
