Jeff: Thank you. You are clearly a lot taller than me. The XL vest is a might long on me, but still OK with a kilt.

I think either the light or dark brown tweed will look fine with the Weathered Douglas. In fact the dark brown tweed was my first choice, but my wife overrode that. Since I have little or no fashion sense, I almost always defer to her suggestions. She probably thought the gray/tan looked better with my shirt and tie. Who knows?

Can't wait to see your new Douglas kilt. I always liked your Douglas Brown. I love those blue hues in it.

Richrail: That's a very nice-looking combination. Did you post those pics on another thread? I seem to remember seeing them before. If so, I probably got the idea from you. I like the brown accents from stem to stern. And, the green hose provide a pleasant bit of contrast.

By the way, my Douglas is technically speaking not "Weathered". It's a Reproduction woven by Dalgliesh with a hard tartan finish and made by Matt.

Richrail, that looks absolutely spanking great!

Got mine yesterday. It does fit snugly for an XXL but it's workable. I really like the garment. After this seasons throwing, when I knock off this crazy weighlifting and throwing so much, and cut back on the calories, it will probably fit great.
