Hackles on the Balmoral
Does anyone know what the different colors of hackles represent? I have a green balmoral and bought a burgundy and a gold hackle to accessorize the balmoral with. I have my clan badge for it also. The reason I chose those colors is because those are the 3 colors of our wedding. Hunter green, gold, and burgundy. Are the hackles some sort of regimental distinction?

Thanks Manxstralian. I tried my hackles on my balmoral when they all came in the mail and I wore them at a bit of an angle. I doubt I would wear them after the wedding. They looked weird on me I thought. But the wife to be enjoyed the look enough. Or was she laughing out loud? Hmmm.
