I'm east of Garnett, on the Anderson/Linn county line. I'm originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa, but moved down here after meeting my wife.

I know that area fairly well. Back in my day the towns were still tiny, the houses were ancient, the roads mostly unpaved, the highways narrow two-lanes, There were no paramedics, and fires were fought by bucket brigades. Looking back, I got to experience the end of an age. Have fun down there. You'll stick out like a sore thumb wearing a kilt down there, GO FOR IT!
