That narrow-minded xenophobic homophobic nonsense needed rebutting and you did it well.

It occurs to me that I've never seen a depiction of JC wearing trousers. I thnk that's in an xmarks member's signature. It seems he and his ilk were fond of long flowing dress-like robes.

This Robert Stewart shows his ignorance loudly and clearly. If one wanted to hold to the letter of the commandment in Deuteronomy, a female piper or drummer in a kilt would be more in violation of this edict than a man in a kilt because, as you so ably pointed out, the kilt is a man's garment.

You certainly made the right arguments in support of wearing the kilt and, as a Cape Bretoner, I can tell you that I do know a few coal miners who wear kilts.

My thoughts exactly. Obviously almost no one made it to heaven until well into the Middle Ages when breeches became more common. Conservative Christians flouting their ignorance of Greek and Hebrew are a pet peeve of mine. You handled this one well.

Good work, Graham. I didn't bother to read Stewart's "article," but I appreciate that your rebuttal was made without rancour or personal attacks. That adds weight to your very reasonable argument.

Well written article. I don't understand how the original author could not have found a military history of kilts with just a simple google search. You would think that if you are going to declare some inanimate object to be evil, you would double check your arguments.

I thought Mr. Stewart's article was hilarious and should get published in the Onion.

Also...be honest...does the guy on the right in the photo look like he's wearing a kilt or a woman's midi skirt?
