Welcome Atticus, and you too RM. I haven't had the pilling problem on a kilt yet, but I learned the hard way that the battery operated "Pilling shaver" works better that the manual razor one. I used the razor style to de-pill some flannel sheets and managed to put several slices in them. Ruining sheets was bad enough, but I'd be heartbroken if I slashed one of my kilts.
