I really do not like the ruche tie 5 button waistcoat with a Prince Charlie look, to me it just does not look right. Perhaps you should start a new thread about it.

I have plans to get a tweed jacket, however circumstances have changed and I now have a budget that includes a new kilt, all the accessories and two jackets. I must have a PC, to go with the new kilt being made right now, because of my social obligations. However I will be looking for a tweed jacket to both go with this Maple Leaf kilt for pub nights and to dress down the new 8yd kilt that is being made. I will not be getting Ghillie brogues, but rather conventional black brogues, because I can wear those with my suits as well. On the subject of waistcoats, I prefer 3 button ones and that is what I will be getting to go with the PC. I don't need a waist coat to go with the tweed jacket.
