In the Western North Carolina Highlands, The Blue Ridge Distilling Company is producing Defiant.



American Single Malt Whisky. We had a bottle from Cask #0003. It's not Scotch, of course, because it is not distilled in Scotland, and also not aged for 3 years (the company is not yet 3 years old). With a deep, amber color and a rich vanilla aroma, it burns going down and never stops burning. It is unabashedly bold and aggressive, hence its name, Defiant.
