You didn't offend me! It's up to me to feel sorry if my translation failed and my intension was not clear.
I think Germans should be carefull using this kind of symbols. Other nationalities are able to use and enjoy them in a relaxed manner.
I was on a mediaevally fair today and saw the belt buckle as shown on Your picture at a stall selling belts and leather bags. It is a nice one. There where other celtic buckles as well. Alas no dung beetle... ;)
We are off topic. Excuse me, ambrose! You did not ask about beetles. But wasn't it You who talked about Guinnes?

Avast, matey! I do be agreein' with ye, wolfgang.
'tis a mighty fine design, and I've a fierce fire in me belly f'r it, but I've no desire to be wearin' th' Iron Cross.
It be too connected with th' scurvy dogs what would've been keepin' us all out o' kilts, if they'd've stove us in with a fat ball from th' cannon of the dread ship Fascism.
Bein' as this be a buckle thread, I'll close by doin' what I does best, and Buckle me Swash. I'll swash me buckle, too.

Bigger problem
The first belt I ordered was a large, which was clearly too small. (38 to 44) My kilt size falls between 47 and 48. So, my size 48 is a bit loose. But the belt sizes from Scottishkilts.com aren't listed by number size, only small medium largs and extra large. I figured I could order some leather working rivets and move the buckle to make it fit. But in the neantime, I ordered a new belt in extra large. (45 to 50 on the underside of the belt). The extra large is too big, so I'm going to have to modify that one also. I guess I'm either going to have to gain some weight or lose some. But if I lose, then my kilt will be way too loose, so I guess I need to gain an inch on my waist. I definitely don't need the low carb beer.

Not me! I am interested only in keeping them well away from my immediate environs. They can do what they like outside the house, but once they cross the threshold ....................... they are dead!
Just goes to confirm what I already suspected:
You lot are nuts!
And I'm ever so glad for it.
Hey, what's all this? I thought you were one of us now, but here you are contributing as an outsider might! Come on! If we are nuts, so are you.

I prefer to gloss over that fact
PS: the beetle belt buckle in question came 2 days ago, and I absolutely love it!
