I was referring to people actually walking around the Games with their kilt worn over shorts that are cut below the knee. Heaven forbid that one of those young mens' friends see them kilted! They'll usually be found squawking that their "dad made me [them] wear the kilt."
Usually the teens/young 20s crowd of boys who are entirely too self-conscious and abhor standing out.
I ALWAYS wear skivvies. Do what you like but in my book going regimental is just not done. Dark underpants only.

I never have and never will wear shorts under my kilt. When I do a thing I commit to it fully and completely. I wear my kilt proudly.
