    "Big Otis"

I stumbled upon this quite by accident while doing an unrelated internet search. Somehow I managed to miss this when I was growing up. Kellogg's apparently used this "Big Otis" character to sell their OKs cereal around 1960.

That got me curious and I found this on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZgqFFiNVn0

Interesting. I grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and never saw Big Otis signs at Kellogg's.
I never heard of OKs either. We used to tour the factory anytime someone came to town and get the free snack pack at the end of the tour. I don't think OKs were ever included in those snack packs either.

    It had a short run, '59 - '62.

Looks like Big Otis' didn't measure for his kilt properly.

Fascinating. I lived in Montana at the time. I don't ever remember seeing that cereal.
