Camouflage Kilts

Can some one help me to understand the attraction of wearing a camouflage kilt? I don't really understand it.

I am not 'into' things Military in any way, shape or form, but somehow my 8 yard camouflage kilt from our sponsors, KiltStore.net, is just perfect casual wear. I don't think of it as having military connections at all. The colour combination is a great attraction, though.

The curious thing is that, were I still (Heaven forbid!) wearing trousers, there is absolutely NO WAY I would be wearing a camouflage pair!

i have two souls in my hard. i like changings but i really have to think it over. still doubting on wearing such strong military sign.
i was wondering that so much poeple thought my olive UK was from military stuff. the only thing is that perhaps the non-kilted will see camouflage as a very masculin garment before any other kilts.

it's not just about the army, what about hunters?
not that I hunt.

I agree that, at least to me, camo kilts seem more masculine. That was my motivation for my first kilt being a UK camo. Guess I thought I'd get less static. A needless worry.

But, I also hike a lot in the high desert here. Camo just seems to fit. I don't hunt, but like being able to get close to critters.

I'm currently awaiting an AK tiger stripe camo, a PK forest Marpat camo, PK desert Marpat camo, Freedom Kilt Cadpat camo, and Freedom Kilt desert camo.

Just seem to like how they look...or I would have chosen plain or tartans.

I don't have anything in camoflage, and since I got out of the service and haven't been hunting in a couple years can't see the point.

On the other hand, camoflage does hide all manner of dirt and stains well by the very nature of the pattern. A camo kilt might be usefull when my 6 month old daughter decides to spew food and god knows what all over me.

When ever I see camo, I think of army surplus. and A/S belongs on the battlefield or in the bush.

I don't know what it is ...I like Camo kilts.....It's just, I can never ever see myself wearing one.

I think Camo notjust comes across militeristic but it gives off an image I'm not comfortable with.

Having said that I like the rugged image it gives. But then there are other ways to appear rugged too.
Camo for me is a non starter.

The only camo item I have is a nightwatch camo Utilikilt. It's lightweight and casual for times when I'm just knocking around town.

It's rugged, outdoorsy, and unpretentious for those times when I'm dressed down and having fun.

Of course if some of the guys want to finally organize a pig hunt, I've got the perfect garment for the occassion. Oil up the old .303 and I'm ready to head for the hills!
