I finally have time to post some photos from last week's Highland Games in San Diego.

Staying down the road in Oceanside; I'm in Starbucks now using their free WiFi
Our Pipe Major and I arrived yesterday afternoon to get 'dibs' on a good place for our band tents, set up our Easy-Ups, roll in the coolers, and set up the chairs. It's the Long Beach Fire Department Pipe Band and we're set up on the middle ground level between the High Level where the pipe band competition is, and where the food court and main music stage is. We're near the Nicholson Pipe Band camp.
See you all in a couple hours!
Richard
PS as you all probably know we look like this (Prince Charles Edward Stuart tartan, the tartan of the old 72nd Highlanders). We decided to forgo waistcoats this weekend, due to the warm weather.
Looking smart.
72nd of Foot is all well and good, but I far prefer to think of that tartan as 'belonging to' the Edinburgh City Police !!!
I took some cell phone photos as folks dropped by the Clan Donnachaidh tent on Saturday. Unfortunately, only two of them turned out! Not sure what happened to the others, my apologies. But we did capture the elusive OCRichard, who had just purchased a new practice chanter in bright red. He said it would be harder to lose. Here he is with Bob.
