I am willing to listen and I have I have taken many notes. And no I didn't notice the belts and buckles and the gentleman was not wearing animal fur when I seen it and I was standing right next to him. I am leaving because I see a inter circle click here and I wont fit in there, that is ok. nothing wrong with trying and failing thank you, you sound like a fine gentlemen. Many on this site did not actually read what I wrote, and I stirred feathers, they would do well to re-read what I wrote. Larry

I don't believe Steve was literally saying a kilt is not a skirt.
A kilt is not a skirt in the same way a bratwurst is not a hot dog. Sure, they're functionally the same, but there's a lot more that goes into a brat that makes it different from a hot dog.
In the same way, there's a lot that goes into a kilt that makes it different from a skirt. A lady's skirt is essentially just fabric wrapped around the waist. A kilt is not. Someone who approaches kilt making the same way they approach skirt making is going to make a product that is vastly inferior to a kilt, even if made from the same heavyweight wool that we view as the "tank" here on the forums.
If asked in a different context whether a kilt is a skirt, I think any member here would say yes (or know that they're not fooling anyone if they say no ). The point that those here have been trying to make in saying that it's not a skirt is that it's more than just a skirt.

Perhaps a rental would be up your alley for these occasions?

Had I known you only wanted to wear it twice I would have also recommended a rental.

There are many of us here who do not fit into that clique, if you reconsider and stay you will find that out.

I'm not coming from the "inner circle" here. Far from it, in fact. But you are wrong.

You are kidding aren't you, to wear something that someone else has worn. That is unconceivable , that would be like wearing another's man underwear, I wear custom made bravado-lewis shoes retail for $2500 and a Rolex watch, I don't think I would be comfortable in a used outfit. but thanks for the suggestion

This thread has turned into lulz. Seriously. At this point I think the OP is just trolling for giggles.
