Actually, House of Cheviot does carry khaki hose in their popular Lewis pattern.

They are quite comfortable. I would say they are medium weight, perhaps just a tad to the heavier side. Not light, in any case. I don't often wear them here in DC in the summer.

Yes they are comfortable, but are different than House of Cheviot hose. Of course the price point is not bad and may be worth checking out.

Who knew!! Thanks....wanted Khaki Lewis hose for years...never had them...gave up....now they quietly appear and I'm off accessory shopping again...

Well, I guess that leaves me out. I have a kilt made by them -- an ebay purchase -- that I'd like to know a little more about and have been hoping they might reply. No matter, the kilt is going to Bonnie Heather for a rebuild, and whatever I might have learned from Gaelic Themes won't be important.

Happy Happy Happy....just ordered two pair of Khaki Lewis Hose from Scottish Tartans Museum...hope them puppies are in stock...might even get them in time for the Flagstaff games next weekend....ever the optimist.

Barbour makes a marled/ ragg/ tweed shooting sock in a colo(u)r that is actually brown and white, but looks tan at ten feet...

Yes and they are very nice !! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THEM FOR A WHILE NOW -But have not pulled the trigger yet - Barbour makes a Shepherd Plaid looking tan hose too - awesome

I've not been able to locate Barbour socks of either of the above descriptions, either on the Barbour site, or others offering Barbour products. Can links be posted to the specific items? They do list a nice solid brown, but nothing that appears remotely khaki/tan.
